Um It is not legal to have a hand gun until your 21 so your advertising that your breaking Federal law on a site that the ATF monitors . Unless you are the ATF trying to catch morons then carry on!
It is legal as long as they have written permission from a parent or legal guardian.
You need to read up on your ATF laws. No one under the age of 21 can legally own a hand gun. Shot guns and rifles are at 18. Use google and get educated. I just finished Gun smithing school and I know. If an FFL holder is selling hand guns to any one under 21 they are wrong. They can shoot one under supervision but cannot own one. Not even a personal sale is legal.
Absolutely CORRECT.
This from the US Code, published by the BATF—->
Minimum Age for Gun Sales and Transfers*
1. Unlicensed Persons
Handguns: Under federal law, unlicensed persons may not sell, deliver or otherwise
transfer a handgun or handgun ammunition to any person the transferor knows or
has reasonable cause to believe is under the age of 18, except under certain
exceptions.**
Long Guns: There are no federal laws preventing unlicensed persons from selling,
delivering or otherwise transferring a long gun or long gun ammunition to a person
of any age.
2. Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs):
Handguns: Under federal law, FFLs may not sell, deliver or otherwise transfer a
handgun or handgun ammunition to any person the transferor knows or has
reasonable cause to believe is under the age of 21.
Long Guns: Under federal law, FFLs may not sell, deliver or otherwise transfer a
long gun or long gun ammunition to any person the transferor knows or has
reasonable cause to believe is under the age of 18.

Under the Gun Control Act (GCA), shotguns and rifles, and ammunition for shotguns or rifles may be sold only to individuals 18 years of age or older. All firearms other than shotguns and rifles, and all ammunition other than ammunition for shotguns or rifles may be sold only to individuals 21 years of age or older. Licensees are bound by the minimum age requirements established by the GCA regardless of State or local law. However, if State law or local ordinances establish a higher minimum age for the purchase or disposition of firearms, the licensee must observe the higher age requirement.
